Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam.

  • In Vietnam one dollar will feed a child for three days.

  • One dollar allows a child’s to attend school for one month.

  • The average daily wage for an adult in Vietnam is one dollar.

  • Twenty five percent of the population is unemployed.

  • In Vietnam thirty-eight percent of the children under age five suffer from malnutrition.

  • As little as fifty dollars can change a family’s life. It allows them to start a business by buying a sewing machine, purchasing livestock or buying fruits and vegetables to sell at market.

  • Despite the fact that food and clothing are inexpensive and readily available, they remain beyond the means of many people. It is not unusual for a child to walk two miles to school daily on an empty stomach and no shoes on their feet.

  • In Vietnam fifty dollars will purchase hearing aids for a hearing impaired child. Used hearing aids can be donated to Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam. These units have trade-in value when acquiring new hearing aids for the children.
